Before the Session: Intake and Intentions
Once you book your free 15-minute consultation and decide to begin therapy, we’ll ask you to complete an intake form. This helps us get a basic understanding of your background, concerns, and goals.

Don’t worry if you’re not sure what to write — we’ll go over everything together.

Arriving at Your First Session
Whether you’re nervous, quiet, talkative, or unsure, it’s all welcome. This is a space for you — not a performance. It’s okay not to know where to start.

We might begin with a simple question like:
👉 “What brought you here?”
And we’ll take it from there, at your pace.

What We’ll Talk About
In the first session, we may explore:

What’s been weighing on you recently
A brief overview of your story
What you’re hoping to change, heal, or understand
How therapy works and what to expect going forward

It’s not a deep dive into everything — it’s just the beginning of a relationship built on trust, empathy, and reflection.

Your Questions Are Welcome
You can ask anything — about the process, confidentiality, or our approach. Therapy is most helpful when you feel comfortable and informed.

After the Session
Some people feel lighter. Others feel stirred up. All reactions are valid.

If you feel emotional or unsure, that’s part of the work. You can always journal, take a walk, or simply rest after your session. We’ll also decide together how often to meet — weekly, bi-weekly, or as needed.
